The Diocese of Algoma mourns the passing of Donna Marie Bos, who died peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 77. Donna served the Diocese with warmth, dedication, and a deep spirit of kindness from 1998 until her retirement in 2009, becoming a beloved and steady presence in the Synod Office and in the wider diocesan community.
Colleagues will remember Donna for her generous heart, her ready smile, and her willingness to help wherever she was needed—whether welcoming visitors, supporting diocesan events, or offering quiet care to those around her. Her faithful service enriched our common life, and she will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Precious Blood Cathedral on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Memorial contributions (cheque or online) may be made to the Sault Area Hospital – Cancer Care Fund in Donna’s honour.
