The Diocese of Algoma invites you to join us for an evening with the Rev’d Maggie Helwig of St. Stephen’s in the Fields, Toronto, author of the acclaimed book Encampment (Coach House Press).

Drawing on her experience of ministry alongside a tent encampment hosted by her congregation, Maggie will reflect on what she has witnessed and learned about love, solidarity, hope, mutual support, and the enlivening presence of the Holy Spirit in situations of deep vulnerability. Her reflections engage questions of faith, justice, and community at a time when churches and cities alike are grappling with homelessness, displacement, and the call to compassionate response.

This online gathering is offered by the Diocese of Algoma Social Justice Committee as part of its ongoing commitment to learning, reflection, and faithful action. The event is free and open to all.

Registration is required.
