Sharing the Life of Our Church:
A New Way to Submit Stories
Across the Diocese of Algoma, meaningful ministry is happening every day — in worship, service, formation, reconciliation, pastoral care, outreach, and the countless quiet moments that shape our common life. Too often, these moments remain local, when they could instead become sources of encouragement and connection across our wider diocesan family.
To make it easier to share what’s happening in your parish, deanery, or ministry through the Algoma Weekly News, the Communications Office has introduced a simple online story submission form:
This form is designed to be quick and flexible. You don’t need a polished write-up — just a few sentences and a photo are more than enough. Whether something has happened, is happening, or is coming up, we would love to hear about it. From youth leadership and outreach initiatives to creative worship, parish milestones, or moments of pastoral care, these glimpses help us tell the story of God’s work among us.
Sharing stories is not about reporting — it is about witness. When we share what God is doing in one place, we strengthen and encourage the whole Church.
Why This Matters
- Celebrate ministry across the diocese
- Encourage one another in faith and service
- Highlight the leadership of clergy and laity
- Share good news more widely through diocesan channels, including the Algoma Weekly News
- Preserve a living record of our common life
Even small stories matter. A brief moment faithfully lived can speak loudly to someone elsewhere.
A Helpful Additional Step
If your parish or ministry produces a newsletter, we would also be grateful if you would subscribe the Communications Office so we can stay connected with what’s happening locally.
📧 Please add: communications@dioceseofalgoma.com
Receiving newsletters helps us notice stories we might otherwise miss and ensures your ministry can be reflected more fully in diocesan communications.
A Continuing Invitation
The story submission form is always open. You don’t have to wait for a particular season or request — if something meaningful is happening, we want to help share it.
Together, these shared glimpses help us see more clearly the Spirit’s movement across Algoma — connecting communities, strengthening ministries, and reminding us that we are part of something larger than any one parish.
