Installation of new Archbishop

The installation of Bishop Anne Germond as Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ontario will be live-streamed tonight commencing at 7:30 p.m. through the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa’s Facebook page.

By now, many of you have heard the news that our Bishop was elected at the recent convocation of Provincial Synod, October 9-12, to serve as Ontario’s new Metropolitan. She will be installed to this office on October 11th during the Synod at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa, Primate Fred Hiltz will serve as preacher.
Covenanting Service – Trillium Anglican Parish
The Covenanting Service between Joan Morris and Trillium Anglican Parish will take place on Sunday, October 14th at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s in Powassan.

Condolences to the Oosterbaan family
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Anne Oosterbaan on Tuesday, October 2nd in Sault Ste. Marie following a brief illness. Anne was the wife of Din Oosterbaan, former Diocesan Treasurer and current Provincial Synod Treasurer.

Reception into the Anglican Church of Canada

Bishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce that Chris Pichette, preparing for chaplaincy in the Canadian Armed Forces, and presently serving a two year term as the Assistant Curate at St. Luke’s Cathedral, will be received into the Anglican Church of Canada on Sunday 21st October, as the Cathedral marks the Feast of St. Luke at the 10:00 a.m. service.
