2025 Rose Certificate of Appreciation Booklet 
On Tuesday, November 25, twenty members of the Cathedral community gathered for a midweek Celebration of the Eucharist at St. Luke’s Cathedral, Sault Ste. Marie, where Pat Sandie and Barbara Johnson were presented with the Diocesan ACW Certificate of Recognition Rose Award.
This honour recognizes their many years of devoted service through the Cathedral ACW, the Altar Guild, and Children’s Ministries—ministries that have shaped and sustained parish life at St. Luke’s for generations. We give thanks for their steadfast witness, and for the blessing they continue to be to the Cathedral community and to the wider Diocese of Algoma.
Following the service, parishioners were invited to explore a beautifully prepared booklet created for the occasion by Erin Hernden, who gathered historical materials, archival photographs, and narrative threads to tell the story of women’s ministry at St. Luke’s with great care and skill.
We are grateful to all who contributed to this celebration, and especially to Pat and Barb for embodying the ACW motto: “The Love of Jesus Calls Us.”
