Diocese-wide consultation launched following Synod 2025 resolution, with input invited from parishes across Algoma
At Synod 2025, the Diocese of Algoma committed to revising its plan for ministry with children, youth, and families, with a new plan to be presented at Synod 2027.
This work is being led and supported by the Rev. Heather Manuel and the Rev. Jeffrey Hooper, and begins with listening to congregations across the Diocese.
Over the past number of years, many parishes have experienced significant change. Some are rebuilding ministry following the pandemic, while others are exploring new approaches such as intergenerational, family-based, and community-connected models of ministry. This consultation is an opportunity to better understand those realities and to help shape a plan that reflects the needs and hopes of our communities today.
