In Memoriam
Sheila Mary Seddon Cole, a long-time member of the Diocese of Algoma, died on December 24, 2025, in Sudbury.
Within the Diocese of Algoma, Sheila is remembered as a woman who lived her Anglican faith with steadiness and generosity. She served her parish faithfully, supported diocesan life, and was especially committed to Camp Manitou, a ministry that remained close to her heart over many years. Her involvement reflected a deep belief in the formative power of community, creation, and hospitality.
Those who knew Sheila through church and camp life recall her love of the natural world, her quiet strength, and the care she showed for others. Her faith was not loud or showy, but expressed through presence, service, and attentiveness to the people and places entrusted to her.
We give thanks for Sheila’s life, her witness within the Diocese of Algoma, and the many ways she contributed to the Church’s life through faithful, everyday commitment.
