The Diocese of Algoma and the Diocese of Huron invite clergy, lay leaders, friends, and all who knew and loved The Very Rev. Dr. Jay Koyle to attend a memorial service in thanksgiving for his life and ministry.
The service will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street, London, Ontario. The Rt. Rev. Todd Townshend, Bishop of Huron, will preach and preside at the liturgy.
Gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, the Church will remember Jay’s faithful ministry, give thanks for the many lives he touched, and commend him to God’s eternal care in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. The liturgy will include scripture, hymns, prayers, and opportunities for shared remembrance.
Jay Koyle’s ministry touched many lives across the Church through his pastoral leadership, thoughtful teaching, deep compassion, and generous spirit. He was widely respected for the wisdom he brought to his vocation and for the warmth and humour with which he accompanied others in faith.
This gathering will offer an opportunity for communities from both dioceses and beyond to come together in gratitude, remembrance, and hope.
All are welcome.
