Opening Weekend Volunteers Needed
June 19–21, 2026
Before campers arrive, Camp Manitou is calling on volunteers to help prepare the site for the summer season.
There are many important tasks to complete, including:
· Cleaning cabins and buildings
· Raking and grounds cleanup
· Leaf blowing
· Lawn mowing
· General maintenance and setup work
Opening Weekend is always a rewarding and enjoyable time at camp, and volunteers play a huge role in making the summer possible.

Voyageur House Roof Building Project
The planned Voyageur House Roof Building Project has been postponed due to high water levels at Whitefish Falls. A new date will be announced once conditions improve.
Even though the work weekend is delayed, Camp Manitou is still welcoming volunteers who would like to be notified when the project is rescheduled.
The project will require support in a variety of areas, including:
· Skilled construction and building assistance
· General labour and site cleanup
· Cooking and kitchen help
· Tractor and equipment operation
· Camp maintenance
· Wood cutting and splitting
· General volunteer support
